Oakland, CA
2009 - 2011 – Media Consultant and Producer. Center for New Community, Chicago, IL
Designed media strategy for the development of documentary materials to accompany civil rights awareness campaign surrounding issues of immigration. Directed and produced 2 short videos for viral distribution on the web: The Tanton Network (2009) and Frontiers of Racism (2010). Recently completed a new documentary following personal narratives of youth activists entitled Undivided (2011).

Mount Shasta, CA
2009 – Media Consultant. Mount Shasta Bioregional Ecology Center
Designed media strategy for the development of documentary materials to accompany environmental protection initiatives in the Mount Shasta Wilderness. Worked closely with the Ecology Center to develop the script to a 15 min. documentary video, Listening to the Mountain with the aim of expanding public awareness on the most imminent developmental threats to the region.

Bogota, Colombia
2009 – Production Associate. 4 Direcciones Productions
Assisted in the post-production (editing and distribution) and pre-production (research, development and grant writing) with a highly professional and artistic Documentary Film Production Company, specifically focused on giving visual voice to Colombia’s underrepresented ethnic groups.

Played vital roles in the production crews and coordination teams of numerous Feature Films and Documentary Television Series shot in the San Francisco Bay Area. Productions include: La Mission, directed by Peter Bratt, Dreams Awake directed by Jerry Alden Deal, and The Sundance Channel’s documentary series Big Ideas for a Small Planet.


Prishtina, Kosovo
2002 – 2004 Production Coordinator / Writer / Director. Crossing Bridges Productions
Co-founded Crossing Bridges Productions, a production company based in Kosovo dedicated to providing engaging documentary programming on pressing social issues for Kosovo’s National Television, RTK. A documentary series produced in partnership with the United Nations Development Fund for Women revealed the untold stories of women who have played key roles in Kosovo’s political sphere.


Peja / Pec, Kosovo
2001 – 2002 Public Relations Manager. Crossing Bridges Collective
Designed and implemented complete promotional package over two consecutive years for Kosovo’s largest Arts and Music Festival, the Crossing Bridges Festival. Promotional campaign included: TV, radio and print, along with special informational events. Recruited in-kind sponsorship from local agencies – including design printing and production facilities – to enable the development of a highly professional package from a limited budget.

Peja / Pec, Kosovo
2001 – 2002 Volunteer/ Project Manager. Balkan Sunflowers
Developed and carried out projects to assist in the region’s recovery from the recent war of 1999. Environmental and community arts projects – including city-wide cleanups, public murals, theater workshops and the development of a flourishing community garden – aimed to encourage values of community, creativity and natural restoration in the face of great destruction. Long-term projects in youth education developed into multi-cultural arts conferences and the forming of a youth video collective.
